Our Governors
The Multi-Academy Trust Board and the Governing Body work with the Executive Headteacher, the Head of School and the staff at St. Luke's Catholic Academy to make sure the school provides a good quality of education for all its pupils. Governors have three main roles:
- to provide strategic direction for the school;
- to act as a critical friend to the headteacher
- and to ensure accountability.

Our Governors
Hervé Rolland
With a master’s degree in business and a focus on languages, Hervé went on to lead the global development of many Small & Medium Sized Companies in various leadership roles for nearly 20 years until he decided in 2018 to work as a Business and Leadership Coach.
His coaching experience of leaders in small and medium sized organisations in the subject of strategy, leadership, performance and governance are being used to support and challenge the school leadership.
Hervé is a keen French/English speaker and a practicing catholic of our Lady of Fatima Church.
Rev Tony Rowley
Tony went to St Mark's school, Harlow at the age of 11 and left school at 16 to do an apprenticeship in chemistry. After twenty years he went to Plater College in Oxford to do a diploma and then onto university to do a degree in Theology. Tony has been involved in education for over twenty years, as a teacher of RE and a head of department in secondary schools. He has a keen interest in the Catholic education system at all levels. Tony was ordained a permanent deacon in 2021.
Gerard Morris
Gerard moved to Harlow 4 years ago to be near his family. Before retiring Gerard worked at Whipps Cross Hospital for 37 years starting as a hospital electrician and finishing as the electrical estates manager for the hospital.
The Catholic Church has always been integral in his life and for his family.
Theresa Walstow
Theresa Walstow was born in Epping, and attended St Marys' Catholic Primary School in Chingford followed by St Paul's Secondary School in Woodford Green (now Trinity Catholic High School). Theresa was a former secondary school teacher, (subject specialism being Food Technology, Textiles, Child Development and Health and Social Care, for 32 years plus.
Theresa is fully committed to the importance and provision of Catholic Education for our children.
